Castle Lodge Guest House - Killarney

Located in the centre of Killarney, beside the gates to the National Park, this family-run guest house provides the ideal base from which to explore the Ring of Kerry. Start each day with a traditional cooked breakfast before heading out to explore County Kerry. Castle Lodge’s comfortable communal areas include a TV lounge, terrace and gardens. Public areas have free Wi-Fi, and the lounge has internet access for a small charge. The friendly staff are very happy to help arrange tours and local activities, jaunting car trips to Muckross House and Ross Castle; tours to the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head; or walking, cycling, golf, angling and horse-riding.

The house has a cosy TV lounge with outdoor terrace and gardens for you to relax in every evening. On request, the friendly and efficient staff at Castle Lodge Guest House, will be delighted to assist you with arranging the many activities and tours that are on the doorstep. These include: Car trips to Muckross House or Ross Castle; bicycle rental and maps; guided walks; tours to the Ring of Kerry or Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head; golf; horse-riding; angling; a quiet evening in one of the local traditional pubs or even a romantic meal for two!

The area has plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits, such as walking in Killarney's National Park, mountain hiking, touring, fishing, cycling on car-free routes, canoeing, surfing and horse-riding. 42 golf courses, including 10 seaside links, are located within a 2-hour drive of the guest house. Historic castles and abbeys, gardens, entertainment and shops are in abundance.

By Car - Castle Lodge is located in Killarney town centre, at the beginning of Muckross Road (N71). - Castle Lodge is the first guest house on the right-hand side of the road after the traffic lights, towards Kenmare / Muckross House.

Start your day with a delicious Irish breakfast, with the choice of a cold buffet selection or a traditional cooked breakfast. Or try a little of both! Picnic packages are available on request should you wish to enjoy the great outdoors for the day.
